Finding Plus Size Jeans That Flatter the Fuller Figure

If you’re a lady of larger build, you may have trouble finding plus size jeans and particularly plus size designer jeans in your local stores but don’t despair, the internet makes finding plus size jeans as easy as 1-2-3.
As long as you have a credit card, you can order just about anything on the internet and plus size designer jeans are no exception. You get plenty of time to browse what’s on offer, you won’t be hassled by sales assistants and you won’t have to go through the horror of the shared changing room filled with size zero waifs. From the comfort of your own home, you can choose your plus size designer jeans at leisure and when they arrive, try them on in your own bedroom, strutting around and posing in front of the mirror to make sure that they are a perfect fit.

Just because of size it doesn’t mean that there isn’t plenty of choice in plus size designer jeans even if you’re of petite height or very tall.
Even the fabrics vary from traditional denim to moleskin, brushed twill and leather. There are a great range of colours; black, white, grey, plum, shades of blue and green, khaki and chocolate.
Shapes differ too; there are narrow, boot cut and straight leg, modern waist (waistband is just below waist level; most people say around belly button level), classic waist and stretch waist.
No matter what size you choose, you still get the pockets and stitching detail that is traditional for jeans.
So, finding plus size jeans isn’t that hard if you search the internet, but be sure to choose the right jeans for your shape and size. If you’re a plus size then a skinny fit will emphasise your bulges and won’t be flattering at all. On the other hand an ill-fitting, baggy pair of jeans will make you look like you’re wearing a sack. Choose a good, but not tight fit and pay a bit more for those jeans to look just right.
The colour is important too, if you’re trying to disguise your size somewhat. Don’t go for pale colours as these are not nearly as flattering as dark ones. Go for black, dark blue, dark green or purple to create a “thin” look.

In terms of the waistband, a higher waist, particularly in a stretch material, will help to hold your stomach in but may not be as comfortable when you’re sitting down as a lower cut waist. Whatever you do don’t choose your plus size designer jeans just to look fashionable; comfort is just as important.
